Preciosa Glass making in the heart of Europe stretches back the 9th century and the first mentions of glass production in northern Bohemia date from the 14th century. Preciosa was formed and established in the northern Bohemian city of Jablonec nad Nisou in 1948 by the merging of several factories which were producing machine cut fashion jewellery stones and the subsidiary company Preciosa Figurky was formed in 1995 specialising in the production of crystal figurines and decorative crystal objects. The figures are produced from the finest 30% lead crystal which gives high brilliance, which complements the precise cut and the originality of their design.
